E. James Emerson Jim Emerson is the founder and principal consultant at Data Integration Group. He has an extensive background in the implementation and management of all types of computer software. He has both the theoretical and real-world knowledge needed to effectively organize and manage software development teams. He has been an end-user of complex computer software applications in both manufacturing and financial service environments as well as an executive with commercial software development organizations. He served as Director of Computer Resources (CIO) at KPMG in their New York executive office; Vice President of Technology at Pansophic Systems (now part of Computer Associates); President of RTI Software; Senior Vice President at Marsh USA; and Vice President Technology and Development at etrials. Emerson has been active in industry and professional organizations. He has been a member or ANSI/SPARC, CODASYL, ANSI X3H4, and ISO. He was the Chairman of the Technology Information Committees of ADAPSO and ITAA. He is a member of AAAS, Sigma Xi, and DIA. He has a BS in Physics from the University of Florida, an MBA from Seton Hall University, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Polytechnic Institute of New York University. He has taught classes in Data Base Management systems and SQL at North Central College in Naperville, IL.
